About these classroom tools

This site offers free browser games and everyday classroom tools for teachers. Use a topic list for review games or put a timer, name picker, or scoreboard on the projector.

Page texts are written with an AI language model from facts we saved with their sources first; a script checks every number against those facts before a page is published.

What these classroom tools do

All games and tools are free to use in your browser, with nothing to install. There are no accounts, sign-ups, or newsletters. The tools are for classroom teachers, substitute teachers, tutors, homeschooling parents, and leaders running group activities.

One list can become a quiz board, top answers game, bingo cards, word search, crossword, hangman, word scramble, or flashcards. Projector tools include a wheel, name picker, timer, stopwatch, group maker, dice, scoreboard, and noise meter. Students do not need their own devices or accounts for projector games.

The site is available in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, and Italian. English includes every tool; the other languages include tools people search for in those countries.

How lists are stored and shared

Your lists, teams, and settings are saved only in this browser on this device, using localStorage. The site has no server copy. Saved data normally remains when you close and reopen the browser, but clearing its stored site data removes it.

A share link carries the whole list in the fragment at the end of the address, after the hash sign. That part is processed by the browser and is not sent to the site with the page request. Anyone you give the link to receives the list, so check its contents before sharing.

You can also save a list as a JSON file and import that file later. Keep a file copy if you need the list after clearing browser data. In private browsing, saved data is cleared when the last private tab closes; browser settings that block storage can also prevent saving.

How to report a mistake

If you spot a mistake in a page or a tool, email hello@classgames.study. Include the page address and the browser you use.

Describe what you tried, what you expected, and what happened instead. For a wording mistake, include the text that needs correcting so the problem is easier to locate.
