Your lists stay in your browser
Lists, team names, scores and settings that you enter are saved only in this browser on this device (in its local storage). They are not sent to our server.
A share link carries the list in the part of the address after the # sign. Browsers do not send that part of an address to the website, so the list reaches only the person you give the link to. Files that you download or open are read in your browser.
Clearing the site data in your browser deletes the saved lists.
Noise meter and microphone
The noise meter asks for access to your microphone. Sound is analysed in your browser to show a loudness level. It is not recorded, stored or sent anywhere. You can withdraw access in your browser settings at any time.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count page views and how the games and tools are used: which tool was opened, scrolling, clicks on store links and file downloads. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<container-id>, each with a default expiration of 2 years, according to Google's page on Google Analytics cookie usage.
Microsoft Clarity, also loaded through Google Tag Manager, records clicks, scrolling and mouse movement to show us heatmaps and session replays. On this site Clarity is set to mask all text on the page, so lists and names do not appear in replays. Clarity sets cookies such as _clck and _clsk, as described in Microsoft's list of Clarity cookies.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser type when a page loads.
Store links and click counts
Some pages link to classroom products through our /go/ links. Such a link counts the click and sends you to the store. For each click it records the date and time, the link, the page the click came from, the country that Cloudflare derives from the connection, the browser type and language, and the network the connection comes from. It does not store your IP address: it stores a short code calculated from the IP address and the date, which changes every day, to tell repeated clicks and bots apart.
When you buy from a store, the store may pay us a commission and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
Hosting
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical request data such as IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Contact and your rights
Questions about privacy and requests about your data: hello@classgames.study. Emails to this address are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a Gmail mailbox, so Google processes them too.
If the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object (Articles 15–18, 20 and 21), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Article 77).
